BRUNSWICK — It was a night of shutouts in the Golden Isles Wednesday night.

At Brunswick High, the host Pirates sent their duals record to 20-1, shutting out Wayne, 84-0, while Glynn Academy shut down Charlton, 60-0, in tuneup duals prior to this weekend’s Region 2-6A duals competition.

Brunswick got falls from Demonta Pitts (126), Cameron Crump (132), Dalton Zachry (138), Chuckobe Hill (152), Ryan Buckley (170), Staffon Stanley (182), John Roberts (195), Ulee Mullen (220) and William Abbott (285).

Meanwhile, Glynn Academy had pins from Aidan Bee (106), Jackson Wakeland (170), Jaquarius Middlebrooks (195), Eugene Thomas (220) and Nicolas DeMarzo (285).

Brunswick and Glynn Academy will be at Region 2-6A on Friday. Both Wayne and Charlton’s duals competitions are set for Saturday, with Wayne in Region 2-5A and Charlton at Area 1-1A (hosted by Irwin County).
